The Olea Europea is a small/medium evergreen tree with leathery, ovate green leaves which have silver undersides. The Olea Europea has been favoured for a long time due to its edible fruits and its multipurpose leaves. White flowers are produced in panicles in the Summer, these are small and pure white.
The olives appear green however mature to black. The majority of the olives harvested from the tree will be used to produce oil, whilst about 10% will become table olives. Depending on season, some plants may be pruned back to encourage growth and deciduous plants may arrive without leaves.
